DOLLARSTORE,
NETBASE SIGN MOU ON RETAIL & DISTRIBUTION

Delhi-based
NetBase Computing has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
with Dollarstore, Inc. USA, under which the former will assist in
setting up of Dollarstore's IT backbone for its intended expansion
into Asia.Dollarstore, Inc. is engaged in setting up an
international chain of franchisees who will run a standardised
business model created by Dollarstore. The centralised volume
procurement and warehousing by Dollarstore provides its franchisees
with lower operating costs and attractive gross margins, while
giving end consumers a high level of standardised shopping
experience at one low price. The chain has immediate plans to
appoint master franchisees in India, China and the Middle East to
run regional stores

NetBase
has also been chosen by DCM Benetton and Sony India to implement the
RETAIL TM for Microsoft Windows Point Of Sale (POS) software
solution at their exclusive stores around the country. The system,
when implemented, is expected to allow better and timely decision
making which in turn, will enhance customer loyalty for these
brands.
Speaking to IMAGES, Pramod Joshi, Managing Director, NetBase
Computing said, This highlights the growing trend among major
organised retailers in India to use Information Technology
effectively to automate and standardise their store operations. |
